Merry Happy Christmas! This is our first attempt at composing what we hope will become an annual tradition here in the Posford house (which is still weird to say, by the way).. This year’s letter is short and sweet. You’re welcome.

The biggest, and most obvious, change for us this year happened when we became “a Mr. & his Mrs.” We were married June 2nd, in the town where we live, surrounded by our families and a few friends. It was a day that we happily remember as simple, beautiful, and perfect for us. The absolute best way to start this new chapter of our lives called MARRIAGE. We are endlessly grateful to everyone who contributed their time and efforts to make our wedding day possible. Thank you!

From our new little family of two, to you and to yours, we want to say that we love you, and we are grateful that we are able to call you our friends. We keep learning, more every day, how important it is to invest in our community, and to surround ourselves with people we can turn to, laugh with, and pray for. Thank you for being a part of that community. Our wish this Holiday season is that you would know you are loved and appreciated, missed, and thought of often. We want the world for you. And a little something special under the tree, too!

Love, Us

We sent our cards out last Tuesday. I decided at the very last minute that I wanted to do it, and thankfully was able to put them together in one day. I used another pair of our engagement photos because a: we hadn't used them for anything else yet, and they had a wintery feel to them.. b: I LOVE them and c: they were available. Big selling point :) So, all I really had to do was search pinterest for a phrase I liked, throw the photos together, find some wintery bokeh snowfall lights to throw over the top, and then write our letter. I placed the order from mpix that afternoon and received them a few days later.

2012 card - front and back

I was so happy with our wedding invitations, that I used the same method, and just created a flat card with our greeting on the front, and our letter printed on the back. Even though it was last minute, I honestly couldn't be happier with the way they turned out, and I'm so glad that I decided to go through with it after all.

I am also glad to be out of the handmade cards chapter of my life and into the heartfelt letter phase because our list keeps growing and considering the time it takes to make them all, as fun as it was, I just don't know how I did it in years past.

Also, I can't help but think how fun it is going to be to pull one of these out in 20 years and remember when it was just the pair of us. It's a memory I'm thrilled we made.

We are currently in OREGON where we will stay through Christmas (another last minute decision), and I am praying for SNOW. Lots of updates are coming though.. I'm looking forward to getting back in the swing of posting again.

Be back soon :) xo
