NEW LIFE PLAN. BIG DREAMS & THINGS.

2.06.2012

Last weekend, the boy and I sat down to dinner and decided to make a list of "impossible" goals for the next 5 years.. In quotations, purposely, because we are declaring that they aren't impossible at all, but entirely attainable, and things we're going to strive for. Some are huge, some are small. But, all are things we used to think we just couldn't do, couldn't figure out. I still don't know how we're going to do these things, but we are going to try.

O U R  I M P O S S I B L E   G O A L S

1 // We decided how much money we want to be bringing in together annually within 3 years. A big scary number that we're determined to reach. (That isn't as far away as we once thought).

2 // We're crafting a budget, and are planning to pay off all of my student debt by the time I am 30, three years ahead of schedule.

3 // We're not settling on an apartment. We're finding the character, the space, the natural light and the washer and dryer (please?) that we are hoping for.

4 // Next summer, we're going to Spain & England.

5 // The summer after that, we're going to India.

6 // At some point in time, we're moving to Europe. for a few years, perhaps?

7 // We're continuing to live healthfully, exercise regularly, avoid unnecessary stress, be conscious of what we put in and on our bodies, and get enough sleep. oh. and actively love each other, and invest into our relationship always.

8 // We both want to invest in our careers and in our hobbies, keep our interests alive and nurture them (this means, I'm getting back into creating, which I had already decided, and he is getting back into group sports).

After this little discussion... I started brainstorming how that would translate into what I want to pursue creatively and for my career, as well as wanting to be a mother at some point. I was hypothesizing and dreaming about "what would be my best case scenario?" and... it's really not as far fetched as you might think :)

T H E   P L A N (maybe. it could change. it often does.)

---continue on with the life we currently have, except I will MARRY the Spaniard in June!
---move in and set up our own place together = projects. interior design. fun things. cooking. etc.
---in the evenings/weekends.. get back into CREATING. MAKE THINGS.
---paint. sew. draw. build. take photos. learn my camera. whatever.
---get back in that rhythm.
---save money, start traveling, learn how to live together.
---in two or three years? make the big move.. to Europe.
---teach English or kids art or nanny or something, and we'll travel somewhere new every weekend.
---continue blogging.. documenting our life and our travels.
---eventually have kids. and I want to be home with them.
---whether it's in Europe or we move back to the States.
---once the youngest is in school, finally go to beauty school? :) maybe. I'll be like. 40 then. this is just now hitting me.
---well, if I decide to go, I will knock it out in a year and be awesome at it.
---start working part time, build clientele, still create and blog in the afternoons
---be free to pick my kids up from school and flexible for their schedules
---eventually, do hair part time and create part time.. sell prints, blog, write articles, etc.
---and travel with and love my little family all the while
---BAM.
